As stock investors (even though a small one), it is important to keep abreast with the latest financial and market news. Since I am in it, I thought it might be worthwhile to share it out with my readers too.

Hence, I started this "Market News In 2 Minutes" series.
 
Following are the "Market News In 2 Minutes" for today :
 
1. SembCorp Industries (U96) -  started construction for its largest energy-from-waste facility in Singapore (at Jurong Island). It costs about $250 millions and expected to complete in early 2016. (source : The Edge)

2. Heeton Unit (5DP) - Imperial South East Asia Investment (ISEA) (an The associate company of Heeton Holdings had entered into a 49-51 joint venture agreement with Cambodian-national Lok Oknha Sear Rithy, to establish a JV company known as New Global Imperial Investment Co. It will be involved with real-estate development and investment holding activities in Cambodia. (source : The Edge)

3. Noble Group (N21) - A subsidiary of Noble Group has formed a joint venture company with Australia-listed Qube Holdings, known as Quattro Grain, to develop and operate a new multi-user grain handling facility at Port Kembla, New South Wales. (source : The Edge)

4. Singapore Airlines (C6U) -  SIA issued $500 million worth of bonds under two tranches. The first tranche consists of $200 million seven-year bonds yielding 3.145 percent, while the second tranche consists of $300 million worth of ten-year bonds at a yield of 3.75 percent. (source : Share Investment)

5. Hyflux (600) - formed a joint venture (JV) with Tolaram Corporation for the development of membrane-based water treatment plants in Nigeria. The JV company, Yewa Water Company (YWC), will be incorporated in Singapore and its equity stakes held equally between the two parties. (source : Share Investment)
