Market News In 2 Minutes @ 31st Mar 2014

Market News in 2 minutes
As stock investors (even though a small one), it is important to keep abreast with the latest financial and market news. Since I am in it, I thought it might be worthwhile to share it out with my readers too.

Hence, I started this "Market News In 2 Minutes" series.

Following are the "Market News In 2 Minutes" for today :

1. P&G (Procter & Gamble)  - unveiled its new $250 million research and development (R&D) centre in Singapore on Friday, giving a boost to the country's efforts to build its consumer businesses sector. (source : The Edge)

2. OCBC (O39) - has requested for a trading halt and an acquisition of Wing Hang Bank in Hong Kong may be in the card (source : SSI Blog)

3. UMS Holding (558) - Announced that they are proposing to issue out 1 Bonus share for every 4 existing ordinary shares held by shareholders which are subjected to approval. The bonus shares will not be entitled to any dividends, rights, allotments or distributions. (source : The Finance blog)

Cheers!
