As stock investors (even though a small one), it is important to keep abreast with the latest financial and market news. Since I am in it, I thought it might be worthwhile to share it out with my readers too.

Hence, I started this "Market News In 2 Minutes" series.
 

Following are the "Market News In 2 Minutes" for today :
 

1. Goodpack (G05) - Blackstone Group and Carlyle Group are considering a bid for Singapore's Goodpack. Goodpack specialises in environmentally friendly intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) that could replace wooden boxes and metal drums widely used in bulk cargo today. (source : The Edge)
 

2. Magnus Energy (576) & ITE Electric (581) - Magnus Energy and ITE Electric are the next in line being probed by CAD this week (source : The Edge)

3. Singapore’s March Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), a key indicator of manufacturing activity, came in at 50.8, lower than February’s reading of 50.9 and below economists’ estimates of 51.1. In line with other Asian economies such as China and India, new orders and production levels dipped. (source : Shares Investment)

4. Global Logistic Properties (MC0) -  Has inked two agreements with China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation to lease 13,000 square meters of space in Shanghai and Suzhou. (source : Shares Investment)

5. Yangzijiang (BS6) - Has secured 18 orders of bulk carriers and containerships worth US$815 million. The orders are scheduled for delivery from 2015 to 2017. (source : Shares Investment)
