As stock investors (even though a small one), it is important to keep abreast with the latest financial and market news. Since I am in it, I thought it might be worthwhile to share it out with my readers too.

Hence, I started this "Market News In 2 Minutes" series.
Following are the "Market News In 2 Minutes" for today :
1. Wing Tai Holdings (W05) -  Said it will not try to delist as a way out from rules requiring the company to dispose of all units in its high-end residential projects within two years of completion, its chairman said. (source : The Edge)

2. Global Logistic Properties (MC0) - Has announced that two leading third-party logistics providers have leased 248,000 sq ft of space in China. (source : The Edge)

3. Singapore Post (S08) - Says it has received a letter from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) dated 15 July 2014 giving its approval for Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group to become a substantial shareholder of the company (for $312.5 million). The deal also includes a strategic business cooperation with Alibaba Investment to create an international e-commerce logistics platform. (source : The Edge)
 4. Centurion Corporation (OU8) - Has announced the acquisition of four student accommodation assets in Manchester and Liverpool for GBP77 million ($164.5 million). (source : Shares Investment)

5. ISDN Holdings (I07) - Has teamed up with Indonesia-based PT Jodo Alam Titra (PT Jodo) to create a portfolio of mini hydropower projects with combined capacity of 100 megawatt in Indonesia. (source : Shares Investment)

6. KSH Holdings (ER0) - Its unit, Kim Seng Heng Engineering Construction has inked a $147.8 million contract for the design, construction, completion and maintenance of a proposed integrated community building at Bedok North Street 1, with projected completion in 2017.
