As stock investors (even though a small one), it is important to keep abreast with the latest financial and market news. Since I am in it, I thought it might be worthwhile to share it out with my readers too.

Hence, I started this "Market News In 2 Minutes" series.

1. OCBC (O39) - Plans to raise $3.37 billion  by offering shares to existing holders after its acquisition of Hong Kong’s Wing Hang Bank. The company will sell as many as 440 million new shares at a ratio of one share for every eight held in a rights offer at $7.65 each. For more details of the report, click here. (source : The Edge)

2. KrisEnergy (SK3)  - Said it will begin the marketing and sale of a new issuance of notes under the company’s $500 million medium term note programme. The net proceeds will be used for planned capital expenditures. (source : The Edge)
