Market News In 2 Minutes @ 3rd December 2014

Market News in 2 minutes As stock investors (even though a small one), it is important to keep abreast with the latest financial and market news. Since I am in it, I thought it might be worthwhile to share it out with my readers too.

Hence, I started this "Market News In 2 Minutes" series.

Following are the "Market News In 2 Minutes" for today :

1. Keppel Land (K17) - Has entered into a conditional joint-venture agreement with the ShweTaung Group (STG) to develop a 23-storey office tower in Yangon's central business district. Keppel Land's total investment in the project will be US$47.4 millions ($61.6 millions) . (source : The Edge Singapore)

2. Spackman Entertainment Group (40E) - Is seeking to acquire at least 51% of Fireworks Co, a Korean post-production house that creates high-end visual effects for TV commercials and music videos.  (source : The Edge Singapore)

3. Joyas International (E9L) - Is seeking to diversify into the nickel distribution and trading business. It will do so by acquiring a 70% stake in HongKong Silver Basic Group for HK$700,000 ($116,6666). (source : The Edge Singapore)

4. REITS : CDL Hospitality Trust (J85) - Is foraying into Japan by acquiring two hotels at six billion yen, approximately $66.3 million. Both hotels operate in the business economy segment, and the purchase consideration is lower than the average valuation of the properties by DTZ Debenham Tie Leung Kodo Kaisha and International Appraisals Incorporated of 6.06 billion yen.
