So, it's not exactly the same.. Besides, Medishield life is pegged to B2/C wards expenses while IP can be used for higher wards and private hospital, so the claim experience are different ;-)Investopenlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07785795437892877722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6290074707985614952.post-36161838016618032822015-02-06T11:01:02.281+08:002015-02-06T11:01:02.281+08:00Hi Richard, thanks for the prompt reply...hmm, if ...Hi Richard, thanks for the prompt reply...hmm, if that's the case, I don't see why they should even raise their premiums for the pte companies. It's like they have the best of both worlds - high premiums for everyone, yet have the ability not to accept people with pre-existing conditions! la papillionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01372278083694506953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6290074707985614952.post-14369841138061652722015-02-06T10:51:34.633+08:002015-02-06T10:51:34.633+08:00Hi LP : good that you find this useful. However, as the Medishield Life's premium will be increasing, so overall premiums will be higher even though IP portion remain the same. But this increase will be subsidized by the government during the transition.

No, the pre-existing/exclusion of the IP portion will still be up to the individual insurers ie MOH doesn't dictate that all IP must cover pre-existing conditions.Investopenlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07785795437892877722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6290074707985614952.post-76727830900182506462015-02-06T10:28:10.743+08:002015-02-06T10:28:10.743+08:00Hi Richard,

Just a q, do u know if the pte companies are also required to take in anyone without may exclusions, just like medishield life? la papillionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01372278083694506953noreply@blogger.com
